Challenge

Brooklyn Bagel Co. entered our market as a brand-new player with a product that the Croatian audience had never encountered before. No one quite knew what to expect from a true New York-style bagel—was it a sandwich, a pastry, or something in between? With no existing recognition or clear associations, we needed to build a digital identity that would spark curiosity, make the brand memorable, and most importantly, get people to finally try a real bagel.

Solution

We developed a comprehensive social media strategy grounded in an honest, witty, and slightly unexpected tone of voice. Brooklyn Bagel Co. doesn’t speak in stiff or generic terms—instead of empty phrases about fresh ingredients and quality, the story is told authentically, through content that entertains and informs without pretension.
Visually, we stepped away from the typical “Instagram-style” food photography. The bagels were showcased through genuine, appetizing, yet laid-back shots that reflect the casual, everyday ritual of enjoying good food. To ensure long-term consistency, the content was produced in one major production cycle, giving us a solid six months’ worth of communication material in advance.
Beyond the product itself, we put a spotlight on the personal story of Kent, the founder. Through a series of videos and interviews, he brought the brand closer to the audience from the inside out. We also introduced brand characters Fox and Otter, who—through animated memes and dynamic formats—became a playful tool for engaging the audience.
As a result, Brooklyn Bagel Co. gained a distinct digital identity, and social media became the primary channel for informing, interacting with, and attracting new customers.
